Oscar Nominations for 2013

Posted by Unknown

Earlier than I care for, the Oscar nominations were announced by Emma Stone and, to-be Oscar host, Seth McFarlane. There were certainly more than a few surprises (and huge snubs) for the 85th Academy Awards. Not surprisingly, Steven Spielberg's Oscar pandering sweeping epic, Lincoln, leads the way with 12 nominations. Ang Lee's self-righteous film snore visually stunning, Life of Pi, follows closely behind with 11.

Without any further ado, the official selection for the 85th Academy Awards!

Congratulations on making it through the whole list.

I will certainly be sounding off on the nominations and snubs. Such as,
Kathryn Bigelow and Ben Affleck not being nominated under the Best
Director category, while Ang Lee gets a nod for his bloated Life of Pi, and Benh Zeitlin for the underrated (but not undeserving) Beasts of the Southern Wild.
Or perhaps I will sound off on how Leonardo DiCaprio gets the short
stick, as his co-star Christoph Walz gets the nominations for Best
Supporting Actor. But that shall come later.
